One Good Woman LOVES the NY NOW Gift Show!

Specialty foods retailer One Good Woman has grown from one to two – owners that is. Founded in 1996 by Holly O’Connor, one brave woman with a big dream to provide local clients with the finest and freshest roasted coffee. This was long before the era of our modern coffee craze.

Holly began selling coffee out of the back of her car and delivering to people’s homes. Years later, she opened a brick and mortar location in Camp Hill, PA that quickly became one of the best specialty food stores in the Harrisburg area. They offer fine foods, fresh roasted coffees and loose leaf teas, as well as beautiful custom gift baskets.

Specializing in Custom Gift Baskets

Coffee and tea has always been a staple at One Good Woman, but the unique custom gift baskets are most loved by their individual and corporate customers. Filled with everything from mugs, jams, books, scarves, cookies and kitchenware, their charming gift baskets are fashioned with products surrounded by colorful crinkle shred wrapped in a cello bag and then finished off with a beautiful ribbon from Nashville Wraps’ gift basket product line.

After 20 years of serving her customers, Holly was ready for retirement. That is when two friends who were both loyal One Good Woman customers decided to purchase the store. Michele Koch and Mechelle Webster had been in search of a business venture together for some time and found the perfect match with their beloved store. “This is just the beginning of a great adventure for us as we reach to take One Good Woman to the next level!”

New Owners Equals Twice the Fun!

Part of that adventure is attending the NY NOW Gift Show at the Javits Convention Center twice a year. In just over a week, Michele and Mechelle will make the 3-hour train ride to New York City for a fun-filled day of finding new products and gifts for their store. The show is filled with over 2,400 exhibitors in 400 home, lifestyle and gift product categories.

“We love attending the New York show and attended the show in January with Holly,” says Michele. “It’s great to be able to actually see, touch and smell the products in person. The show specials from the vendors definitely make it well worth attending for any small business owner. The Nashville Wraps booth is one of our favorites.”

Creating a Signature Brand with Packaging

Mechelle explains, “Nashville Wraps’ gift packaging helps us create beautiful gifts. Our loose leaf teas are scooped into small cello bags and finished with handwritten label closures. The shopping bags and gorgeous tissue papers make our gifts bags look amazing. We also do custom printed kraft bags and labels for a signature One Good Woman gift.

“This year we have chosen a decorating theme for the holiday season based on the stunning Golden Holiday Collection. We can’t wait to see how the store will look this holiday season!”
