Dogaholics Turning Their Bags into Walking Billboards
Candace Canty, Founder of Dogaholics in Chicago, IL says, “We are in a high traffic, urban shopping area where people walk a lot more than drive. They also always eat at outdoor cafes and restaurants in between shopping. I always loved seeing our old bags, the paw print plastic t-sacks we got from Nashville Wraps, strolling the neighborhood. And it dawned on me that we were really missing an opportunity to advertise more. The bags really could be a walking billboard. Our city has also gone plastic bag free for the big box stores, so I’ve seen our shopping bags at the local grocery store too (as a reusable bag).”
Dogaholics’ customers love her custom bags from Nashville Wraps which are printed with different text on each side. Customers even post them on Instagram as seen here by @mabelwelsh. Candace explains, “We utilize the bag in multiple ways. First our logo is very large, so that it can be seen visibly. On the back side, we have one of our slogans like “Unconditional love goes both ways”. I spend a lot of time and money developing our branding and I wanted to get the point across. We also utilize the gussets for two purposes. One panel includes the “12 truths to being a dogaholic” – they are fun and make our bags entertaining as well. The other side tells them about a free gift they can get at adogaholicsguide.com – this drives people to the website where we ask for their email to get the free gift.”
Dogaholics uses tissue and ribbon for gift giving purposes, as well as the paw print tissue and cello bags for their bakery case. Candace says, “Nashville Wraps is the most organized and easiest company we’ve worked with. I’ve worked with other companies in the past who were a little cheaper, but I never knew the status of our orders, things always came late, they wouldn’t return calls, etc. It was really annoying. I have never had an issue with Nashville Wraps and can always rely on their service and quality.”
