Tina and her best friend Debbie Hild were teaching weekly cooking classes out of their Orange County, California homes for years. After giving their toffee as gifts during the holidays to friends and family, many suggested they start their own business, and Haute Toffee was created.
“The benefits of having a partner are bouncing ideas off one another and sharing responsibilities equally,” commented Debbie. “We both have strengths in different areas that allow us to balance the business out. Being best friends, this comes naturally to us. There are lots of laughs on a daily basis.”

Haute Toffee has just one unique flavor of English Toffee; but when you have the best, that’s all you need. Their toffee is a combination of milk and dark chocolates, roasted whole almonds and a crisp layer of brittle, topped with chopped walnuts. The bottom layer of almonds sets them apart from their competition and keeps the toffee from sticking to your teeth.
They sell their toffee online and wholesale to gourmet retailers. They promote their product through email, Facebook, major fundraisers and boutique shows.
