Ever wondered if there was something more that you can do with plain ribbon? Yes, there is! Nashville Wraps can custom print patterns, wording, names, and logos to make your event or packaging extra special! Think of events such as weddings, milestone birthdays, special occasions, logos, and business names for ideas. Our ribbon can either be imprinted with hot stamp or screen print and includes a variety of widths, colors, and imprint colors such as metallic, satin, and black gloss options. We currently offer white imprint with the screen print option.

Benefits of custom printing ribbon with Nashville Wraps:

– Friendly, helpful, and experienced custom print specialists, just a phone call away at 1-800-547-9727, ext. 4. We offer different ribbon types, widths and colors that are custom print compatible, and you get to choose from a variety of imprint colors.
– Low minimum order of 2 rolls
– Flexible lead times

Choosing a ribbon to imprint:

Our satin ribbon such as the Double Face Satin and Premium Double Face Satin have a sleek, silky finish that can be wrapped around boxes, tied on bags, or used in party favors. Our Florist Satin Acetate ribbon is more suitable for floral arrangements.
 • Spacing – You can customize your spacing between artwork impressions. We normally use 1”, 1.5”, or 2” spacing depending on the artwork. The artwork itself can be no wider than 7.625” to accommodate the maximum plate size before repeating.
• Edge Allowance – Our ribbon is printed with a 0.125” edge allowance on both edges to maintain our quality standards.
• Lines of Text – Smaller widths of ribbon are subject to a single line of text,  while thicker ribbon widths are better suited for 2 lines of text depending on the font complexity and artwork detail.
• Simplicity is Best – Complex artwork may need to be modified to be printable and to avoid fill in, it’s best to submit simple designs and font that has adequate thickness and spacing between letters.
• What Doesn’t Work Well – Tiny and fine details, thin lines, and reversed out artwork tend to not give the desired results. Finer details may need to be modified to meet print requirements and to avoid fill in. If you’re unsure whether your artwork is suitable for custom printing on ribbon, please contact our custom print specialists to review your artwork.

Difference between ribbon print options:

Our print options for ribbon are hot stamp and screen print. Print options may vary with each size of ribbon and imprint type. Can’t decide which is the best print option for you and have questions? Call our custom print specialists at 1-800-547-9727, ext. 4, or email us to get quotes and more guidance.

• Hot Stamp – Uses a heated foil process where the imprint of the artwork is the foil color. Imprint colors for hot stamp on ribbon include metallics, black gloss, and satin foils. This imprint option is great for Double Face Satin, Premium Double Face Satin, and Florist Satin Acetate. Requires vector artwork.

• Screen Print – Is suitable for the Double Face Satin ribbon and for a white imprint option. Other PMS colors are available as well. Requires vector artwork.

Plates:  All hot stamped ribbon requires a permanent plate to be made to imprint your artwork and a plate charge will apply. Ribbon plates have a one-time fee per artwork and can be reused for additional ribbon orders if the artwork remains the same. Certain plate sizes can be used and reused for other ribbon sizes, and you can reorder with a different ribbon color and hot stamp imprint colors using the same plate. If you request a change to your artwork, a new permanent plate will need to be made, and a new plate charge will apply.

Place an order:  You can place your order through our website, by email, or by calling our custom print specialists. If there is a particular deadline you need to achieve, or you have concerns about turnaround times, please discuss it with us. We are willing to work with you to provide a reasonable lead time. Your next step will be to provide the correct file type for artwork.

Provide artwork:  We do the proofing for you. Please submit your artwork to our custom print email, preferably in vector format in either .eps, .svg, or .ai. If you don’t have vector artwork, we do accept images such as .jpeg and .png with at least 300dpi, but these images will need to be rebuilt to vectorize and will increase proof turnaround times. Don’t have a vector file or artwork to send? We can help create your artwork, but an art fee may apply.

• Artwork is provided as vector – It will provide the fastest proof turnaround time, some artwork may need to be modified to meet print requirements depending on the complexity of the artwork.

• Artwork is provided as an image – we will have to rebuild the artwork and match fonts as closely as possible. Some art may need to be modified to meet print requirements depending on the complexity. This will delay the processing of the proof turnaround time.

• You need artwork – Tell us what font and what design you have in mind. We can help build your artwork. (An art fee may apply, and it will delay the processing of the proof turnaround time.)

Proof Turnaround Time: Once you provide your artwork, our turnaround time for the proofing process takes up to 24-48 hours depending on the time of the year and whether your artwork needs to be modified or rebuilt. Upon receiving a copy of your proof via email, please review and inspect each page of the proof for accuracy in spelling, punctuation, art size and placement, imprint type and imprint color(s), and correct product type including color and dimensions. If changes are needed, please notify us prior to your approval. If all is correct and accurate, please reply to the email with all proof pages signed. Once we receive proof approval, it finalizes the process and schedules your order to production.

Before we print: It’s important to sign the proof pages and email them back to us to let us know that everything is finalized so that we can put you on the schedule for print production. Your lead time quoted by your custom print specialist will start after we receive proof approval. So, make sure you check your email and spam for a PDF of your proof. Look over every page to make sure we have everything correct and sign each page. If there are changes that need to be made, please notify us by calling or emailing us prior to signing. We will then email you a revised proof if there is a change. Your quoted lead time begins after we receive your proof approval.
