Try this easy necktie idea for dressing up a gift for Father’s Day (or any other occasion that calls for a masculine gift). It works best on a rectangular or tall gift. For the necktie, we’ve used our double face ribbon, but any of our great ribbon will work. Our Ticking Stripe gift wrap makes a great backdrop, but many of our classic designs work well, too.
You may already be a pro at tying a necktie; if not, the video below shows one way to do it. Wait until you finish tying your tie to cut the ends into a “V” shape – that way the edges won’t fray. Pro tip: Use very sharp scissors meant for fabric.
For a square-shaped gift, you might try a bowtie instead.
