Jenny Cookies – Delightful to Eat & More Beautiful to Share

Jenny Cookies

Nashville Wraps customer and baker extraordinaire Jenny Keller has a passion for throwing over-the-top parties. She is author of Eat More Dessert and owner of Jenny Cookies outside Seattle, Washington. Jenny works with brides, brands, celebrities and her own children to create one-of-a-kind celebrations. Her celebrity parties for Tori Spelling, Tiffani Thiessen, Lisa Rinna as well as personal friends from ABC’s The Bachelor can be seen on her blog.

Jenny lives at what she calls “the Keller Farmhouse” – a 5 acre farm just north of Seattle with her husband, two kids, 3 goats, 3 bunnies and several cats. Her cookies have been featured in major publications including People, Us Weekly and Brides magazine. Recently, we had the opportunity to work with her on a cookie workshop. The Jenny Cookies Workshops teach eager bakers all of Jenny’s cookie baking tips and tricks. Below is an excerpt from her blog with gorgeous photos of our boxes and ribbon from Lora Grady Photography. You can see the entire post here.

The workshops were hosted at Romp in Bellevue, WA. Jenny has done a couple of parties there recently and she fell in love with the space. It’s filled with cute furniture, a gorgeous kitchen, and amazing staff.

The goal of the class is not only to teach attendees how to bake and decorate sugar cookies, but also to welcome them into a space that felt similar to what you’d experience at one of her own parties.

Each table had its own color palette and theme. Another Nashville Wraps customer, Lady Yum, provided incredible macarons. Jenny said, “If you live in the Seattle area and haven’t been to her shop, RUN. I am crazy for her macs!”

Each place setting welcomed guests with darling tea towels created by So Vintage Chic and gorgeously wrapped boxes and cabana ribbon from Nashville Wraps filled with goodies.

Pretty Pistachio Gift Boxes looked great topped with white lids and Apple Cabana Stripes Ribbon.

The Turquoise boxes were equally beautiful topped with turquoise ribbon.

Jenny adds, “Not only were the Nashville Wrap boxes gorgeous, the hand lettered welcome tags by Krisanna Reiff really took them to another level.”

After everyone grabbed a drink and found their seats, Jenny got the party started. She gave the ladies a lesson in cookie baking, from making the dough and rolling it out, to turning them into actual cookies. She heard a lot of “I think I can actually do this,” and, “It’s a lot easier than it looks!”

Each gift box included a cookie cutter from The Cookie Cutter Shop. They have hundreds of inexpensive cutters in every shape imaginable! Unicorns, pineapples, whales, mason jars and strawberry cutters were given to the attendees.

After the cookies were baked and cooled, she demonstrated a variety of decorating techniques and then let them try it for themselves.

Each attendee received Wilton’s new Color Right System food coloring gels which make the most vibrant and brilliant colors without a hassle.

Jenny commented, “I get asked a lot how I package my cookies. Nashville Wraps has the most wonderful packaging options, from cello bags to every box size you could dream of. Whatever you choose, adding a ribbon or twine bow always gives the perfect finishing touch.”
