If you’ve ever traveled to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to visit the Smokey Mountains, you may have passed The Incredible Christmas Place and The Inn at Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge. It’s hard to miss “The South’s Largest Christmas Store” with its breathtaking Bavarian-style shops and hotel. You truly feel like you’re in a European village.
In 1986 Hurshel and Marian Biggs opened Christmas Place, and it has become one of the top ten Christmas stores in the US. Since that time, it has grown into a multi-store shopping complex in the foothills of the Smokies with over 43,000 square feet of Christmas fun at every turn. The store is truly a delight for both children and adults.
The Inn at Christmas Place
The Inn at Christmas Place opened across the street in 2007. With 145 lavishly-decorated, two- and three-room suites, the hotel celebrates Christmas year-round. It was voted #15 in 2014 Travelers’ Choice Best Hotels in America by Trip Advisor. They even have a singing Santa who is available for photos and singing with the kids. Check out all their amenities here.
The Inn uses Nashville Wraps gift basket supplies for their specialty gift baskets. They have hotel anniversary packages that include a beautiful basket of gourmet snacks and goodies. These are also available for purchase, including a children’s basket with a customized Inn at Christmas Place plush black bear. Many guests also like to buy gift baskets to take home to those who are house sitting for them.
Christmas Place has won many awards over the years as a retailer and for their indoor and outdoor decorations. It has also been the setting for several TV specials and magazine features.
We wish you a great holiday season and hope you can visit this truly incredible store and hotel that celebrates the spirit of Christmas every single day. Watch these short videos to see it for yourself.
