Deco Mesh Netting for Fun, Fabulous Texture!

Deco Mesh Netting
There’s a new Tulle in town, and it’s got more texture! Made in the USA of imported yarns, our new Deco Mesh Netting is available in 8 beautiful, bold colors, with a honeycomb texture that is wider and stiffer than our regular tulle ribbon. Often used to make dish scrubbies, it also makes wonderful poms (watch a video here to find out how to make tulle poms). Deco Mesh Netting also looks beautiful tied around a simple box, gathered in the middle with a gift tag and tied with some 3-in-1 Raffia Ribbon. See how easy it is to create this look below.

Step 1: Wrap Deco Mesh 3-4 times around box. Trim and tuck the ends in so they lay flat.

Step 2: Cut about 12″ of Raffia and fold it in half, creating a loop in the center.

Step 3: Push the loop through the front of the gift tag hole and pull about 2″ of it through the other side.

Step 4: Flip the loop back over the front of the tag and grab the raffia that is now in the center.

Step 5: Pull the center piece of raffia through the loop

Step 6: Pull on the ends of the raffia until the loop tightens.

Step 7: Separate the raffia into its two halves and slide one half under the band of Deco Mesh on the box.

Step 8: Tie a bow with the Raffia, pulling tight to gather the Deco Mesh in the center. Trim the ends of the raffia.

Note: you can create a similar look by upcycling mesh produce bags, as seen in this blog.
