Using Decorative Shipping Boxes for Gift & Gourmet Packaging

Decorative Shipping BoxesNashville Wraps is all about helping you make a beautiful presentation. Our Decorative Shipping Boxes are a great choice as a gift basket alternative. They give your products a put-together look, and are easier to assemble than traditional gift baskets and more sturdy for shipping. You can even stack them for gift towers. Simply add shred to support your products and maybe a sheet of folded tissue paper to cover them. When the gift recipient opens the box, they will surely be delighted.

Decorative shipping boxes come in several sizes in popular colors and seasonal prints. These 1-piece, fold-over-lid boxes are made from E-flute corrugated board. They come packed flat in packs of of 6 and are easy to fold. (Watch our video below to see how to fold them).

These boxes are also a wonderful substitute for the traditional gift bag or box, and you don’t have to use gift wrap since they are so pretty. Nashville Wraps’ Product Coordinator Lee Oliver says, “I find these boxes to be the perfect gift box. Not only are they great for packaging multiple items but they can make an ordinary gift look extraordinary with little to no effort.”

Fig & Yarrow Kits

They are similar to many of the boxes used by the popular subscription box companies who offer everything from fashion and beauty product samples to gourmet foods. Nashville Wraps’ customer Birchbox pioneered this business model back in 2010. It’s a great concept, especially if you are in the food business – it’s like the old “Pie of the Month Club.”

FIG + YARROW Bath & Body Kits

FIG+YARROW based in Denver, CO sells small-batch, handcrafted organic beauty products. Founder Brandy Monique formulates her botanicals into beautifully packaged products like body scrubs and bath salts. She uses our Kraft Decorative Shipping Boxes for her kits along with kraft crinkle shred. Custom labels are added to the top of these kraft boxes, branding her business and labeling what’s inside.

Sweettrio Gift Sets

Sweettrio, an artisan chocolate business, located in Grafton, WI just north of Milwaukee, uses Red Decorative Shipping Boxes for gourmet gift sets. Owner Chris Steeno sells her decadent Artisans Favorite Gift Box which is a mix of her favorite treats – chocolate covered pretzels, gourmet malted milk balls, Grafton Gravel snack mix, sea salt caramels, chocolate dipped Oreos and pecan turtles. These items are individually boxed or wrapped in cello, then chocolate crinkle shred is added to the shipping boxes. Once closed, the boxes are tied with chocolate colored grosgrain ribbon.

Sweet Trio Gift SetsChris says, “I love Nashville Wraps. We do a lot of corporate business and use these boxes with our gift sets. We’ve never had any problems with our products getting crushed in the shipping.” You can ship your product in them, but we recommended putting them in a larger box like Sweettrio does with some padding for extra protection.

Watch this quick video (below) to see how easy these boxes are to assemble.

These boxes are a great alternative to baskets. With the new dimensional weight use by the shipping companies, displaying products in a closed box is usually cheaper to ship than when the same products are in a basket.

Love all your decorative boxes – we were always thrilled to receive a stacking set for the anniversary parties – the person who won it was always so excited!

This article is right on time for retailers to recognize how to stand out!

The simplest ideas featured here are so very attractive and easy to display. Customers adore it.

In the past I’ve used a red marker to diagonally draw lines on brown boxes. It works well and adds pizzazz when needed.

I appreciate these photos and info.
