5 Fun Christmas Wrapping Ideas

Turn gift wrap scraps into contrasting bands!

The holiday season is right around the corner! This is truly my favorite time of year. I have already begun planning how to “deck the halls” in fun and creative ways. Creating beautiful wrapped packages is one way I let my friends and family know just how special they are to me! Part of the fun is hearing all of the “oohhs and aahhs” when I deliver my packages. It really is easy…just let your imagination run wild! Here are 5 ideas to get you started.

Layer Recycled Gift Wrap (shown above)

Whenever gifts are wrapped, there inevitably are leftover scraps thrown everywhere. Instead of tossing the scraps into the trash, why not use that paper to create a different and fun look?! Gift wrapping with layers creates interest and conveys the message that the person is special.

Fill Take Out Boxes with Small Gifts

Has the holiday rush got you in a frenzy? Don’t forget our take-out pails! These small boxes are perfect for gift cards, ornaments, jewelry or small gifts. Add some of our shred, which is available in a myriad of colors, and you are ready to go!

Merchandise Bags Make Wrapping Easy & Cute

Gifts don’t always have to be wrapped in boxes. Bags can make a striking impression as well. For this cute gift I used one of our popular Chevron Red Paper Merchandise Bags, Red Bakers Twine, and our new Chalkboard Gift Tags. Finally, secure the bag with one of our seals so there is no peeking until Christmas!

Santa Sacks for Charming Favors

A unique way to package small gifts for the holidays is to wrap them in mini “Santa sacks”. Our small Burlap Bags make even the smallest presents extraordinary when topped with a bow made from our Red Cabana Stripes ribbon.

Buckle Up for a Merry Christmas

Here is a holiday gift wrapping idea we love! To re-create this fun package, all you have to do is wrap black ribbon around a red gift and add a square with the middle cut out. (I used our black 1-1/2” Double Faced Satin ribbon and our Silver Gloss gift wrap for the buckle.) Cut the buckle to be just a bit wider than your ribbon (this one was about 3″ wide by 2″ tall) and simply attach it with tape. That’s it! See more Christmas gift packaging here.
