Making the Magic Happen

Kathy Green

From the beginning, Nashville Wraps has been its own advertising agency. It’s all done right here on the second floor of our facility in Hendersonville, TN. Our packaging collections feature our original designs, and we also design our catalogs, print ads, trade show displays, web pages and everything else it takes to get the word out about our products and services.
(For more info regarding our product design process see: An Inside Look: How Nashville Wraps Exclusive Designs Are Developed .)

New collections are released in our catalogs and featured at the trade shows. The process of bringing a new collection/product line to market can take up to a year and it all begins with our product managers. Once the product managers and product designers select and perfect the new lines, the graphic design team gets started on the catalog. When catalog layouts are approved they head to photography for new product shots. That’s where my partner in mayhem, freelance photographer, Jackson DeParis and I come in. We work hard on tight deadlines and manage to have fun too.

Every picture is styled and photographed right here at Wraps. Our samples and props are stored in our studio. We have two staging areas so we can have two different cameras for specific effects as needed. Above is a peek into our messy studio after the last shoot!

We style the photos specifically for their use; catalog, cover, web, ads etc…. If it fits and makes us smile, it’s back to the graphic designers where the photos are prepped for printing and/or web. Eventually, the completed catalog is transmitted digitally to the printer. Isn’t technology awesome! Ads follow the same procedure in an abbreviated form.

Action in the photography studio is featured in the following slide show.

That’s the inside scoop. Thanks for allowing us to be your packaging supplier!
