In this article I’ll show you how to make a cello fan and how to use cello for gift wrapping and finally a suggestion for party decor. Cello film on rolls is versatile, water and grease proof plus all the cello rolls from Nashville Wraps meets the FDA requirements for direct food contact.

Roll cello makes attractive and useful fans for the top and back of gift baskets and towers. Shown in the picture at right is Party Confettie Printed Cello over a Pistachio colored recycled tissue paper. The swirls are made using a clear cello overwrap on top of Nashville Wraps’ Metallic Holly Swirl Printed Tissue paper.

How to Make a Cello Fan…

1. Cut a strip of cello about two feet in length – more for a taller fan.
2. Holding the ends with both hands, start gathering the cello toward the center.
3. Now holding the fan in the center, attach a twist tie to hold the gathers in place.
4. The fan is ready to attach to your basket. Now, just fan it out! (Helpful Hint: Use a small piece of double stick tape to secure the sides together at center top.)

A cello fan for the back of a basket box needs a little more support, so fold the cello in half lengthwise before gathering it up. The folded edge becomes the bottom of the fan. How it’s placed in the gift box is shown below.

Use cello rolls as a gift wrap… Use printed cello over a solid gift wrap or gift box and create a whole new look (below, left). Cello also works its magic over tissue paper. Perfect for a bottle wrap, it looks sensational while protecting the bottle (below, right). You can achieve the same effects with cello bags.

Cello to decorate a party table… Cellophane draped over an ordinary cloth or disposable table cover turns the ordinary into extraordinary. Choose printed cello to match the theme of your event. Just roll the cello down the center of the table or cut to fit. Your table will look great and clean up will be a breeze!
